Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Videoized ("we", "us") collects, why, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect what's needed to run the service, we don't run ads or sell data, and your card details never touch our servers.

1. What we collect

Account data. Your email address and a hashed password, plus your current plan.

Billing data. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — we store only your plan and Stripe's identifiers for your customer record and subscription so we can link payments to your account. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the payment details you enter on their pages.

Content you submit. The video URLs you submit, the transcripts we generate from those videos, and the clips, captions and preview images the service produces for you.

Support messages. If you contact support, we keep the message and your email so we can reply.

Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, request times, errors) kept for operating and securing the service.

We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the site.

2. How we use it

To provide the service (process your videos, store your clips, enforce plan limits), to bill subscriptions, to respond to support requests, to send service emails (like password resets and billing notices — not marketing), and to keep the service secure and debug problems.

3. Where it lives and who processes it

Our servers are hosted in the European Union. We use a small number of service providers to run Videoized:

Stripe (payments) · Cloudflare (file storage for generated clips and related delivery) · our hosting provider (EU-based servers). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else except if required by law or to protect the service from abuse.

4. How long we keep it

Account data: for as long as you have an account. Generated clips: at least 90 days from creation, after which they may be deleted to manage storage. Deleting your account deletes your jobs, transcripts and clips. Backups and logs age out on a rolling basis.

5. Your choices and rights

You can download your clips any time, edit your account details, and cancel your subscription from the billing page. To delete your account and its data, or to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, contact support@videoized.com — we'll act on verified requests within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR, or Australia under the Privacy Act), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to complain to your local privacy regulator.

6. Security

Connections to the service are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Card data is handled entirely by Stripe. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we keep the surface small and the software updated.

7. Children

The service isn't directed at children and shouldn't be used by anyone under 16 (or the age of digital consent where they live).

8. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who processes it — for example by adding an AI provider to improve clip selection — we'll update this page and note the new effective date, with notice for material changes.
